Wandering Spiders – Worse in the cold

In the fall and early winter Hobo Spiders and Brown Recluse spiders become an active household pest. You see, these spiders tend to explore and walk around to locate their prey. During the summer and spring, there are plenty of other prey insects available outside, so these spider stay outdoors because there is no lack of spider food, but the fall and winter months are a different story. The cold months bring spiders into the house looking for food.

Stop wandering hobo and brown recluse spiders

Using a simple sticky spider trap as a hobo spider trap or brown recluse spider trap is very effective and requires no pesticides or poisons. Because these spiders wander around, you have good odds of catching them in one of several spider traps you put along baseboards and in closet corners. While wandering for food, the sticky glue of the traps direct spider-trap-4 catches the spider even by a single leg!

Spider trap disposal

Sticky spider traps can be thrown in your household garbage because they are poison-free. Just be careful when picking up the traps, because the spiders may not be dead, and could still bit you while in the trap. Just fold the trap over onto the remaining glue board, and you’ll be fine!
